Baptism Egg Less Cricut Cake for Lil Chris!!

Thank you for visiting my new blog especially made for my Cricut Cakes! This time I made a cake for my nephew's baptism! He is a two year old toddler who happens to be allergic to egg and peanuts!!! So, for two years he has seen cakes cut and eaten in bdays and other celebrations and has never been able to have a taste of any! So, for this special day, I made him an egg less chocolate cake!!!! It was a bit dry but I know what to do next time!! If you want the recipe for the egg less cake please leave a comment on this post with your email and I will get it to you ASAP!!
This cake was also made with Emma's from My Creative Time challenge in mind!! Hope you like what you see!!!

I didn't get a picture of him wearing his baptism clothes but he was wearing what this cute little boy from Paper Doll Dress Up is wearing. The cross is from Indie Art cart.

He was wearing converse shoes for his basptism day!!!

Here is my nephew!!! Lil Chris happy as can be!! This is the first time he can actually be close to a cake without all of us yelling scared!!! LOL

Soccer Ball cake for my brother-in-law

Hello!! I have baked another cake!!! But, before telling you about the new cake I have to tell you what happened to the Pagoda cake!

As I told you before my former student contacted me about making a cake for her, I had so much fun making all those cherry blossom flowers! Well, my student is a college student now and had a bday celebration for her friend (Tran) well, the cake got stolen from the party!!! YES you heard right! STOLEN!! They didn't even get to taste the cake!!! :(

Onto the cake for this week. My brother-in-law had a bday this month and we had a get together for his bday. He is Argentinian and LOVES soccer... and with all the soccer fever going on, I felt a soccer ball would be most appropriate and fun! and let me tell you!! It was a very easy cake to do!

I used the same Hershey's recipe, it is a hit all the time!
I do not own any Cricut cartridges that have a soccer ball like this one. I found an sgv file and cut it with Sure Cuts A Lot 2.0. I can't remember the site where I found the sgv file!! As soon as I do find it I will give her credit and place her link on my side bar! All fondant is Wilton except for the chocolate fondant which is Duff's (tasty!!).
I know what you are thinking!!!! Is this cake for Payless Shoe Stores??? LOL
That happens to be my brother-in-law's last name!!!
Here is the birthday boy!! Jose Bogo with his cake! He loved it!!!
Grass is from Plantin Schoolbook... letters from........... hmmmm good question! I forgot! :)
I have cake orders every week for the next three weeks!!!
I still haven't designed but the themes are: Baptism, Rainbow, Soccer (again!)
Please leave a comment if you like what you see!! I LOVE to read them!!!!!

Pagoda Cake for Tran

Hello!! I am really excited to start this blog dedicated only to my cakes! I love my Cricut Cake!! After doing the Hello Kitty cake a former student contacted me about doing a cake for her best friend, Tran. I said yes and figured I get more practice! So she came over and we talked about Tran's favorite colors and designs. She chose from Pagoda Cartridge and she also tasted a recipe I got from Hershey's website. Let me tell you this cake is sooooo good!

Here is the recipe for this delicious cake!!!

Hershey's Perfectly Chocolate Cake:
2 cups of sugar
1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 Hershey's Cocoa
1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1-1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 cup of milk
1/2 vegetable oil
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup of boiling water ***** make sure it is boiling water!!

Directions:
1. Heat oven 350F
2. Grease and flour baking pan
3. Mix dry ingredients first and then add the wet and beat on med. speed
4. Baking times will vary depending on the pans

I also made Hershey's Perfectly Chocolate Frosting! (Yummy!)
1/2 cup of butter
2/3 cup Hershey's Cocoa
3 cups of powdered sugar
1/3 cup of milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Melt the butter and stir in cocoa. Alternately add powdered sugar and milk, beating to spreading consistency. Add vanilla.

This time around I made sure I read the instructions on how to use the Cricut Frosting Sheets that come with your machine. And here is the trick! MAKE SURE AFTER YOU PUT ENOUGH GREASE ON THE MAT AND PLACE YOUR SHEET OR FONDANT THAT YOU FREEZE AT LEAS 30 MINUTES!!! Please make sure you do this or you will stress out!!! The freezing makes the cutting so easy and neat!
I used the following things for this cake:
Wilton Fondant
Wilton Gel Colors
Powdered sugar
Wilton Sparkle Gel
Wilton Pearlized Sprinkles
Pagoda Cartridge
Cake Basics Cartridge
I hope you like what you see!! If you do please become my follower! I will be having a great giveaway in the next few weeks!!!

Next cake: Argentinian Soccer Ball!!!

Hello Kitty Cake

Hola! I am loving my Cricut Cake!! You have no idea how much! This time around I made a cake for my god-daughter who is graduating from Central Union High School in El Centro CA. At first I had no idea what I was going to create.

I baked the cakes during the day and I almost didn't do anything!!! I happened to buy a cake mix that was on sale at Walmart (Pillsbury Moist Supreme) what I did not notice was that the mix already had a cup of pudding (something I add to my cakes), now, don't get me wrong, the cake was DELICIOUS!!! It melted in your mouth!! but that was exactly the problem!!! You can't have too soft of a cake when you are going to decorate with fondant!!! I actually gave up and had decided not to do anything after all. Well, I found a box of the cake mix that I do like ( Betty Crocker) and gave it another try! Well, here is my result.

As I was going thru my carts I remembered a Hello Kitty with cap and gown! Love how it all came out!!!!!

These are the carts I used and other things:Hello Kitty Cap/Gown and sun from Hello Kitty Greetings
Lettering from Learning Curve
Purple Flower from Elegant Cakes (I used the Hide contour for the petals)
Scalloped Circle from Mini Monograms
Grass from Plantin Schoolbook
Wilton's Nonpareils Sprinkles
Wilton Fondant
Vodka to clean up and give it that shine
