Soccer Ball cake for my brother-in-law

Hello!! I have baked another cake!!! But, before telling you about the new cake I have to tell you what happened to the Pagoda cake!

As I told you before my former student contacted me about making a cake for her, I had so much fun making all those cherry blossom flowers! Well, my student is a college student now and had a bday celebration for her friend (Tran) well, the cake got stolen from the party!!! YES you heard right! STOLEN!! They didn't even get to taste the cake!!! :(

Onto the cake for this week. My brother-in-law had a bday this month and we had a get together for his bday. He is Argentinian and LOVES soccer... and with all the soccer fever going on, I felt a soccer ball would be most appropriate and fun! and let me tell you!! It was a very easy cake to do!

I used the same Hershey's recipe, it is a hit all the time!
I do not own any Cricut cartridges that have a soccer ball like this one. I found an sgv file and cut it with Sure Cuts A Lot 2.0. I can't remember the site where I found the sgv file!! As soon as I do find it I will give her credit and place her link on my side bar! All fondant is Wilton except for the chocolate fondant which is Duff's (tasty!!).
I know what you are thinking!!!! Is this cake for Payless Shoe Stores??? LOL
That happens to be my brother-in-law's last name!!!
Here is the birthday boy!! Jose Bogo with his cake! He loved it!!!
Grass is from Plantin Schoolbook... letters from........... hmmmm good question! I forgot! :)
I have cake orders every week for the next three weeks!!!
I still haven't designed but the themes are: Baptism, Rainbow, Soccer (again!)
Please leave a comment if you like what you see!! I LOVE to read them!!!!!

  2. wow Abby that looks yummy. I do not have the cake machine, I have to get better at paper first, lol. I have only been paper crafting just this year. I still have photos of my granddaughter and sons from years ago that I want to put in layouts.
